Serve the RED III mandate and the food market from one certified inventory

The same certified feedstock can go to transport fuel under RED III or to food and cosmetics buyers reporting under the GHG Protocol. Segmos automates intake and certificates, keeps one mass balance per scheme, and shows where each volume earns the most.

Automated intake
From delivery to declaration without manual work
Every incoming batch arrives with a sustainability declaration, a certificate and a GHG value that must be reviewed, recorded and matched to the right scheme.

Segmos reads the documents, validates certificates against scheme registries, and books the batch into the correct stream automatically.
Ingest declarations automatically
Capture proof of sustainability data, GHG values and certificate numbers from incoming documents.
Validate certificates
Check supplier certificates against the ISCC and 2BS certificate databases and flag expired or out-of-scope ones.
Book into the right stream
Route each batch to its scheme, feedstock category and mass balance period.
Market arbitrage
Arbitrate between regulatory and voluntary demand
A batch certified under ISCC EU or 2BSvs can count towards the RED III transport mandate. The same feedstock certified under ISCC PLUS or 2BSXtra can be sold to food, feed or cosmetics buyers who report under the GHG Protocol.

Segmos keeps a separate mass balance per scheme and site, and shows the value of a volume in each market before you commit it, so the choice is an optimization rather than a default.
Separate balances per scheme
ISCC EU, ISCC PLUS, 2BSvs and 2BSXtra tracked in parallel, each with its own rules and periods.
Compare markets before committing

Move volumes without losing the trail

Registries and audits
Upload to the UDB and national registries, and stay audit ready
RED III provides for a Union Database for biofuels in which economic operators record their transactions.
Meanwhile, several member states run their own registries alongside it, such as Nabisy in Germany, CarbuRe in France and the REV register in the Netherlands.
‍
Segmos pushes the recorded transactions to the UDB and national registries automatically, and keeps the full trail so any period can be audited on demand.
Automated UDB and registry uploads
Report transactions to the Union Database and national systems from the same recorded data.
Always audit ready
Every batch, balance and declaration is time-stamped and reproducible for scheme and authority audits.
Reconcile mass balance periods
Close each period with inputs, outputs and stocks reconciled per scheme and site.
Q&A

Questions, answered.

Which schemes does Segmos support?

ISCC EU and 2BSvs for biofuels regulated by RED, ISCC PLUS and 2BSXtra for food, feed and other markets outside the directive.
Each scheme has its own mass balance, rules and reporting period within the same inventory.

How does the Union Database upload work?

Transactions recorded in Segmos are formatted and submitted to the UDB, and to national registries where required.
You keep control over what is submitted and when, with a log of every upload.

Can we handle both biofuel and agro streams?

Yes. Feedstocks and fuels are followed in one chain of custody:
- Agricultural, food and feed streams under ISCC PLUS or 2BSXtra.
- Biofuel streams under ISCC EU or 2BSvs for the transport mandate.
- Separate mass balances per scheme, site and period.
- One inventory view across all of them.

What happens during an audit?

Auditors get the batches, declarations, certificate checks and balances for the period they ask for, generated from the recorded transactions rather than rebuilt from spreadsheets.
